Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
